For this project I got inspired by the elegance and simplicity of nautical fashion, with its clean lines, classic color palette, and iconic details, a perfect foundation for the “sailing in Madrid” theme. I incorporated traditional elements such as navy and white stripes, beret hat, and bandanas used as sailor collars in order to evoke a sense of maritime adventure and sophistication.

The shoot took place against the backdrop of a stunning nautical mural located on the back of Prado museum in Madrid, where the representation of the ocean with ancient sailing ships complemented the nautical aesthetic. To make it more contemporary I selected pieces that not only reflected the heritage of sailor fashion but also brought a modern twist to it. This included contemporary cuts, unexpected fabrics, and unique accessories that paid homage to the sailor look while keeping it fresh and relevant.
